Drain and Fruit Fly Eliminator Explained

Here you will find a quick video explaining how the product works and some tips on how do get the best results.

How to get the best results:

  1. Fill the sink with water then quickly drain it before using the treatment. This will wash down any food particles or debris focusing the enzyme producing bacteria on the drain scum where the flies live and lay their eggs.

  2. Pour the treatment down the drain in the evening or during low flow times. This keeps the treatment in contact with your drain pipes for longer.

  3. Do not pour other chemicals down the drain with this treatment. The liquid contains beneficial enzyme producing bacteria that can be harmed if they come into contact with chemicals like bleach or anti-bacterial soap.

  4. Shake the bottle vigorously before every use. This prevents the different ingredients from settling.

  5. Sometimes, with double sinks, the distance to the P-trap is longer on one side of the sink’s drainpipes. See the picture below. The treatment is a light gel, but it will not flow the extended length of the pipe so it cannot remove the drain scum here. In a cup, mix 8 ounces of product with 4 ounces of water. Stir for a few seconds and pour down the drain with the longest run. Repeat daily for seven days. Treat the drain with the short run as normal (4 ounces every night).
